Noticeboard

Coronavirus guidance   Do not attend the Surgery if you have any possible symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) the most common of which are a recent onset of a new continuous cough and/or high temperature, even if you have an appointment. Click this link https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 for further information

If you have a face to face appointment with a Doctor or Nurse, please wear a face covering when you attend the appointment. Thank you

If you request a Doctors appointment, the Doctor will phone you back, and decide with you if you need to be seen. Do not attend the surgery unless you have an appointment arranged by the Doctor or Nurse. If an appointment for the nurse has been made in advance, please do not attend if you develop symptoms by the time of the appointment

Due to the increased workload, please allow 72 hours from ordering to collecting medication and please note the front door will be closed between 1pm & 1.30pm for cleaning

With immediate effect we have stopped all drop-in appointments with the nurse. You must have an appointment before seeing the nurse. We have temporarily suspended booking appointments for the Doctor online, so the Doctor can speak to anyone requesting an appointment. Telephone appointments can continue to be booked online.

You can continue to collect medication (please do not order too early) from the surgery but we are relying on our patients to self-isolate and not attend the surgery if they have any cough/breathing/respiratory symptoms, fever or flu/cold like symptoms. If you have any of these symptoms please ask someone else to attend the surgery if you have any medication to collect. If you are self-isolating at home and not leaving your home premises for any reason, then please let us know and we will ensure you have your medication delivered to your property.

ONLINE MEDICATION ORDERING  If you wish to write a message to dispensary when you order medication, please write it in the box on the second page, beneath the list of medication you have ordered, not the first page (as this deletes the list of medication you want). Thank you

Medication reviews. In future on your repeat prescription list, if there is a message in bold print, please take note of it as it will be a message for you personally. (The automatic message has been removed). We are reviewing how medication reviews are carried out and you may note your review date may have been changed.

Appointments

During the Covid pandemic please ring for a telephone appointment with the Doctor, and they will decide if they need to see you.

If you have a nurse appointment booked in advance, please do not attend if you have any Covid 19 symptoms at the time of the appointmentcalendar

Consultations for both morning and afternoon surgeries are by appointment only and on the day appointments can be booked over the telephone on 01409 241215 after 08.00 am each weekday morning. Advance appointments can be made by telephone, online or at reception up to six weeks ahead.

If you would like to speak to the Doctor about a problem, or for review, and you don't think it is necessary to attend the surgery, you can now make a telephone appointment with Dr Wood, when he will call you at an allocated time, on a number you supply.

Our reception staff will also be happy to arrange appointments for medicals and minor surgery.

There is good access into the surgery for wheelchairs and the receptionists are ready to assist any patient as necessary.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly. You can make an appointment to see the Practice Nurse on any working day and Monday evenings.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
